Darcy received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Russell Sage College. She proceeded to earn her Master of Science degree in nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She began her healthcare career as a registered nurse and found herself wanting to be part of the problem solving, diagnosing and treatment of patients. This inspired her to become a family nurse practitioner. Darcy chose a career in medicine based on her interest in helping and educating people in relation to their healthcare.
As Darcy continued her career in healthcare, she decided to use her skills and knowledge to help the hematology/oncology community. She chose to work in this setting because she appreciates being there for such a pivotal and fragile time in patients’ lives. She enjoys working in an environment that is surrounded by hope and support. Her favorite part of the job is being able to make a difference in someone’s life.
In her spare time, Darcy enjoys outdoors activities including skiing and hiking. She also likes reading and traveling.
